Browning a5 problems.

Mine does like the Federals and reloads at a solid 1200 fps. Shot it for a year as is, and shot it extremely well one of the best handling guns I own. Even though it is not a clays gun at 6 lbs. handles fantastic and recoil with 1 oz. loads is almost non existent. And I am recoil sensitive.Jul 18, 2009 · Browning A5 doesn't eject when fired. This is a new design got it from Mid West Gun works the part # B1182200A7 and it's cheaper than original. Gun works now no problems. Browning A5 cycling problems. I have an A5 that I bought used about 4 months ago that cycled fine when I got it. Now it will load and fire first shot but once second shot is loaded into chamber, I cant even pull the trigger without switching the saftey on and themn back off. So, I have to fire first shot, switch safety on, off and fire again.It could be due to a weak carrier spring. Be sure to clean and lubricate the carrier’s pivot points. The Numrich carrier springs unavailable but you can try the Browning A5 springs. You may make your shotgun work better by switching its gas rings to high-quality brass. Issues with feeding could be resolved by adjusting the carrier lift spring.When the gun fires, the bolt and barrel recoil aft and the white and blue shells follow. Can't say anything about it making much difference outside the theoretical realm, but overbore barrels can cause problems with fibre wads, be aware of that.
